Elephant retirement park is a grassroots initiative whose mission is to provide a nurturing space for elephant. Our aim is to provide a haven for abandoned elephant, and to simply love and respect all living beings. Also camping events for people to enjoy nature, learn about sustainable living & how to cook Local food, and spend time with the elephants. Imagine an environment with happy elephant roaming around the park, the weather is comfortable all year round for the visitor and elephant. “Everyone is welcome to visit & contribute with us, we appreciate for coming of you!”.
The camps founder, Adulwit khamya, better known as Noi, has created a sustainable habitat for the elephants to live in a safe and natural environment, free from profiteering and neglect. At the elephant park family units are never separated and herbal medicines are used to keep the animals healthy and enjoy a better quality of life.
The elephant retirement park is proud of its strict policy of its treatment of elephants. There is no riding, chaining for beating of any kind. The sole focus of the ERP is to promote the well being of retired elephants. Visitors and volunteers to the park can expect an enjoyable and rewarding experience working with the local Mahout people to care for these majestic symbols of strength and peace.
2 Day, 1 Night Itinerary

08.30 am. - 09.00 am.
We will pick up you at your hotel. Take time about one hour through Mae Tang village farm. After we will arrive at the park around 10.00 Am., the guide will give the information about Elephant Retirement Park and story of our elephant. After that, prepare the food for feeding the elephants (fresh fruit, sugar cane etc.) and enjoy to feeding with the elephants.
12.00 pm. - 13.00 pm.:
Time for lunch, our lunch is traditional Thai buffet, which is suitable for vegetarians. And take a rest one hour. After take a rest, the guide will provide the local clothes for change and walk down from the camp to play mud spa and bathing with elephant at elephant pool. After we finish the mud spa, it's time for relax, take a shower and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Time to learn how to cook Thai food and watch the sunset around the campfire and enjoy a traditional Thai BBQ. Spend the night in our lodgings.
Time to eat breakfast. After breakfast, the guide will take you to the camp by walk with the elephant.
Study how to harvest grass. Teak tree leaves, bark and bamboo, while the elephants roam.
12.00 pm. - 13.00 pm.
Time to eat lunch, you will have time for relax with a cold beverage and enjoy the beautiful scenery. After lunch walk the elephants down to the bathing area for play time. Wash and brush the elephants.
16.00 pm. - 17.00 pm.
Say goodbye the elephants and the Mahouts and travel back to your hotel.
