Tourists warned against jellyfish while swimming in Pattaya

Tourists in Pattaya have been warned to take extra caution when swimming in the sea on the Chom Thien beach due to the presence of millions of mini jellyfish in the sea.

Huge amount of the jellyfish, each about 1-2 cm in size, were washed ashore stretching several kilometres long on the Chom Thien beach since Saturday evening.

Officials said that the jellyfish were not dangerous, but they could cause itches or skin inflammation when in contact with the skin.
